Thankfully we are not seeing any evidence in our colonies of the very worrisome "Colony Collapse Disorder." The cause of this malady is currently unknown, and seems to be affecting some beekeepers more severely than others. Many theories on the cause of this new syndrome have been offered, including some as yet unrecognized pathogen, malnutrition, IAPV, Varroa mites or some virus vectored by Varroa, an environmental toxin or toxins, or some combination of those factors.
