How BeeWeaver Drop Off Points Work |
KS Beekeeper Kansas I know this is a busy time of year for you and all, but I just want to offer the following observations....
1) I REALLY, REALLY appreciate the outstanding continuous contact you have had with us via email apprising us of the schedule of delivery and anything that might affect that delivery. I've plenty of horror stories of people ordering bees and never hearing back on shipping dates, dropoff locations, etc, so it feels good to have excellet customer service.
2) April 7 for a delivery date - you pegged it exactly right for eastern Kansas. Very well done. Redbuds, daffodils, dandelions, pear trees, everything is wildly in bloom here and the perfect time for bees to arrive.
3) I really appreciate the fine information on installing packages, nucs, etc that you have distributed. Hey, one can find about 10 different ways on the Internet on how to install bees in a hive, but I do appreciate having the info shot directly to me.
4) The videos on the website - very well done. I look forward to seeing more. Very professionally done, and clearly with a sense of humor as well.

Groton Farm Pennsylvania What I do know is that I've been getting my one package per year from BeeWeaver and they seem to be the gentlest, most productive bees I've ever had. Because they're so hardy, I haven't had to medicate the hives at all, and now, as a hobbiest, I'm up to nine hives of healthy, productive bees. (This past season we harvested a bumper crop of honey when every one else was getting burned) The bees come from Texas on a special truck and when they get here they're in excellent shape. (I think one year I had to have a queen replaced) The guy down in Finleyville just keeps the delivered bees on his front porch (In the shade) and waits for people to come and pick them up. Laura gives you constant e-mail up- dates of where the delivery truck is (Makes several stops along the way) and what time the bees will be delivered to Finleyville, so it's very easy to arrange your schedule so that you can get there in a timely manner, pick up the bees and get them home to their new digs.
